Rise of the Machines.

Among the many things my friend S. knows about me, two of them are these:

  1. I cannot keep the floors in my apartment clean, no matter how small the apartment is;
  2. I think robots are really cool.

So she found a cheap Roomba on eBay and snagged it for me:

I am much more excited about the presence of robots in my home than a person has a right to be.

That’s not the only new machine in my life, though. As a slightly late birthday present to myself, or perhaps a slightly early end-of-project present, I finally gave in and bought an Xbox 360:

Now I can look forward to laying awake at night, wondering if all these devices are secretly plotting to take over my apartment and use it as a staging ground for their inevitable world conquest.
