My priorities in life are severely misordered.

I don’t know what makes me do it. Instead of spending my money on things like groceries, or shoes that aren’t falling apart, I spend it on stuff like this:
[Neo-Geo Pocket Color]
I am now the inordinately pleased owner of a Neo-Geo Pocket Color, SNK’s oft-overlooked handheld (shown with the exquisite Last Blade loaded up). The package came with a total of 10 games, including ports of Pac-Man and Puzzle Bobble. But the real goodies are in the fighting games: chibi versions of King of Fighters, SNK vs. Capcom, and Samurai Showdown, among others. If you don’t hear from me for a while, it’ll be because I’m holed up in the corner, practicing my QCFs and DPs.

Hmmm...miniature Neo Geo. This raises one question. Have they shrunk Debtmiser?

As an aside, I always thought the name of the game was Puzzle Bauble, to indicate the fact that you were solving puzzles with non-valuable jewels. This makes some sense, given that the game consists of arranging strangely colored spheres. But clearly I was wrong. Still, either name is much better than the Young MC-inspired alternative.

Have fun.

The name Puzzle Bobble is a play on Bubble Bobble, which is where most of the character designs came from.

And Young MC, in addition to being one of the key figures in the transition of rap from an underground to a pop music form, is Exhibit #1 in why a Grammy award doesn't say anything about the career you're going to have.

I blame myself...

For Young MC's career?
