When I finished my contract at MPR, I had a simple plan: I was going to take a week off, then get right back to work. A week to chill out, then I would jump into the updating of resumes, the digging up of job leads, the chatting up of clients. A week to just let my mind go blank, and then I would be a responsible, tax-paying, society-contributing adult again.

Six weeks later, and what have I accomplished? I’ve watched a lot of bad television and played a lot of World of Warcraft. It’s probably time to get off my duff and get going on that whole job-hunting thing. After all, basketball season has started, which means that the day I break down and get cable — whether I can afford it or not — is that much closer. That’ll probably work better if I have some money to pay for it.

Oh, but first, I need to catch up on Prison Break and get those last two pieces of the Dreadmist outfit for my warlock…
