In addition to Dynasty Warriors 5, I’ve been playing Sly 3 and We Love Katamari. All of them are great fun, well-tuned, etc., etc. But all of them are basically the same games as their predecessors, adding only the slightest of variations to their established themes. Sequelitis is nothing new in gaming, of course, but after a terribly slow summer (if I hadn’t had World of Warcraft to keep me busy, I would have had nothing to play), I was hoping for something to dazzle me, to remind me of the ways in which games can completely turn your world on its ear and create a new one out of thin air and light.

I don’t know. Maybe Shadow of the Colossus will do it.
