Another nailbiter tonight between the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury, although that’s better than the teeth-grinder they played a few weeks ago, in which the Lynx were held to a miserable 49 points. In this game, Phoenix still seemed to force them into way too many turnovers, but they still pulled out a win, 69-66.

But that’s not the big news. With Seattle’s loss to San Antonio, the Lynx have clinched a playoff berth for the first time in team history.

Now all that remains is to see whether they’ll be obliterated in the first round by L.A. or Houston, the two teams that Minnesota can’t seem to beat.
