Going into the last week of the NBA season, the Blazers have managed to distract themselves yet again with another round of citations and infighting (we have the dubious distinction of being the only team in the league with our own police blotter), leading to uninspired play in a critical loss to likely playoff opponents Minnesota.

I should be able to take solace in the opening of the baseball season, where the Twins are poised to own the AL Central yet again, and perhaps even go all the way — except that they just managed to get swept at home in a three-game series against the Blue Jays.

Hopefully, tonight’s NCAA championship game will be worth watching. Since I have no emotional investment in either Kansas or Syracuse, I should be able to enjoy it without undue stress.
